Child safety standards
Last updated: 18 August 2026
The Nära app is operated by Spitakolus AB (reg. no. 559554-6101), Sweden. This page describes our child safety standards and how we work against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
Zero tolerance
Nära has zero tolerance for material that depicts or promotes the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of children. Uploading, sending, requesting or otherwise distributing such content in the app is strictly prohibited. This covers profile pictures, descriptions, activities, messages and all other user-generated content. Violations lead to immediate and permanent account termination and a report to the competent authority.
The app is for adults only
Nära is a community for women aged 18 and over. The age limit is stated in the app's store listings and in our privacy policy. Accounts we learn belong to someone under 18 are suspended and deleted.
How we prevent and handle abuse
- In-app reporting. Every profile and every conversation has a reporting function, with a dedicated option for content involving children. Any user can report a user whose content or behaviour breaks our rules at any time. You can also always email us at the address at the bottom of this page.
- Blocking. Users can block other users directly in the app. Blocking works both ways and immediately removes every way of getting in touch.
- Filtering. Messages, profile texts and activities are checked automatically on our servers before they are saved. Content that matches our block list – including code words used for CSAE – is rejected and never reaches anyone else.
- Review. Reports are reviewed by us as soon as possible, normally within 24 hours. Content that breaks the policy is removed and the account is suspended.
- Reporting to authorities. Suspected child sexual abuse material is reported to the Swedish police and, where applicable, to relevant organisations within the EU and to NCMEC. We retain relevant data to the extent required by law in order to support an investigation.
- No profiling of children. We do not target children, we do not market the app to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data about children.
Compliance
We comply with applicable child safety legislation in the countries where the app is available, including Swedish law, EU law and relevant reporting requirements. We also follow Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and Apple's corresponding guidelines.
Contact
Questions about child safety, and requests from authorities, platforms or organisations, should be sent to support@spitakolus.com. We reply as soon as we can and prioritise matters concerning child safety.
